The Derby will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 19th & 20th of 2021
from 5AM to 5PM on Saturday and Sunday 5AM to 2PM.
In October 2020, the RRG&SA’s Salmon Derby Committee was formed to study the feasibility of holding a Landlocked Salmon Fishing Derby on Mooselookmeguntic Lake. After months of work and in partnership with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife we have created the Mooselookmeguntic Landlocked Salmon Derby -2021- to promote the MDIF&W’s new Mooselookmeguntic management plan. With the chance to win over $5000 in prizes and with all proceeds dedicated to the RRG&SA’s Youth Programs we are expecting an exciting Derby, a valuable fundraiser for the club and at the same time improving the quality of the landlocked salmon fishery on Maine’s fourth largest lake.
Whether you are interested in entering the Derby, becoming a sponsor or helping as a volunteer you will find all the information you’ll need right here and if you can’t find an answer here you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are planning on entering the derby, we would suggest that you submit your entry forms ASAP. Due to the limited parking at the public boat launches on Mooselookmeguntic Lake we may have to limit the number of entrants.
A final note: In order to create an enjoyable and successful Derby for everyone involved we are asking for volunteers to assist us in many areas during this weekend event. If you are interested in volunteering for this exciting, first ever event for the Rangeley region, please contact us at email@example.com.
